Experience the Team Challenge An adventure in self-discovery, personal empowerment and teamwork

Cedar Creek Team Building Leaders

Peggy Krokstrom
Program Director

"The course shows how innovative and helpful people can be and the unique traits they bring to the team. People who always thought they were followers often turn out to be great leaders."

With 20 years of experience as an outdoor educator and 15 years as a classroom teacher, Peggy brings a keen understanding of the learning process to the Western Team Challenge Course. She’s always on the lookout for the next “learning moment” to help a team understand and apply the concepts they experience on the course.

In addition to leading the team building, Peggy leads workshops on coaching and mentoring for school districts. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Southwest Missouri State University and a Master in Education in Communication Art from Washington University.

A native of St. Louis, Peggy currently resides in Chesterfield with her husband of 23 years and their four children.

Brad Gruenwald
Lead Facilitator

"It’s a great moment when you see the quiet person on the team emerge and others start listening to their ideas and valuing their input. That experience can permanently reshape the way a team functions."

A "jack of all trades" and a skilled carpenter, Brad has lent his skills to both building and facilitating the Western Team Challenge Course. Brad’s positive and reassuring personality helps team members tackle challenges they might otherwise shy away from.

Brad has 30 years of experience in experiential learning. He has led a variety of camps and programs including religious retreats for youth and adults. He also has taught college-level courses at trade schools. Brad regularly attends leadership workshops to keep his skills sharp.

A native of Belleville, Brad lives on-site at Cedar Creek. He is the father of two adult children.
