German Potato Salad
  • 1 cup bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup celery, chopped
  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • 3 T. flour
  • ⅔ cup sugar
  • 1 ½ cups water
  • ⅔ cup white vinegar
  • 1 T. salt
  • ½ tsp. pepper
  • 6 cups cooked potatoes, sliced

In saucepan, mix bacon, celery, onion, flour, sugar, water, vinegar, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil. Place potatoes in a 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Pour sauce over potatoes. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.

Serves 8.
