Pork Chops with Apples and Stuffing
- 6 boneless pork loin chops
- 1 T. vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper
- 1 (6 cups) pkg. plain bread crumbs
- ½ cup chopped onion
- ½ cup chopped celery
- 1 tsp. salt
- ½ tsp. pepper
- ½ tsp. poultry seasoning
- 1 tsp. sage
- 3 cups chicken broth
- 1 T. butter
- 2 apples, cored and sliced thin
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- ½ tsp. cinnamon
Brush pork chops with vegetable oil, salt and pepper, to taste. Grill. Place in baking pan. In bowl mix bread crumbs, onion, celery, salt, pepper, poultry seasoning, sage and chicken broth. Divide stuffing equally on top of each pork chop. Bake at 350° for 35 minutes. Meanwhile in skillet melt butter, add apples, brown sugar and cinnamon. Cook just until tender. Garnish with pork chop.
Serves 6.
